Objectives & Activities
       
• To train the professionals to work in the field of VLSI Design & Embedded Systems, playing different roles at the interface between technology, design and development.
• To provide, through the course and field work, the perspectives and the necessary skills to the students, for the resource – based technology planning and implementation.
• To train the students for academics as well as research, and analysis oriented careers, by developing competence in the usage of quantitative and qualitative methods in the particular domain.

Duration of the course:
M.Tech degree is extended over a period of two academic years, with each academic year comprising of 2 semesters..

Eligibility Criteria :
Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech. Examinations (in relevant field) of any recognised University and should have not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%.Admission to the Master of Technology Course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech. Career Scope
In the last two decades, our country has witnesses significant changes in serval spheres and at increasingly rapid speed. The economic reforms and the policies of liberalization, globalization and privatization have resulted in the momentous changes in perspectives, policies and practices pertaining to technology, development and the inter relationship between the two. To address the challenges posed by these changes, we are offering a Masters program in VLSI design and Embedded systems.

Department of Electronics and Communication is a University recognized research centre whose activities are centered on Optical communication, Digital communication, Robotics, Low power VLSI design, Power Electronics, Wireless Sensor Networks, Hybrid Generation Systems, Multimedia Applications, Design of Microstrip Antennas and Web Application Securityg.
