Sports at the NHCE are played with much fervour and passion. There is emphasis on regular exercise and physical fitness. All games are supervised by professional coaches.

Team spirit and the desire to give the best possible performance are our watchwords. With in a short span of time NHCE has seen tremendous improvement in the technique, fitness level as well as performance of our students in the sports arena.
NEW HORIZON COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING girls have won VTU single zone(state level) intercollegiate women basketball tournament against RVCE in the finals. Conducted during 19th -21st April 2011 at New Horizon Indoor Stadium
Sports Facilities
The Campus has a huge play ground to play, Cricket, Football, Hockey,Vollyball and Basketball. An Indoor Stadium with state of the art facility has Basket Ball court, vollyball court and Badminton court.The Campus also has Outdoor Basket Ball Court, Well equipped Gymnasium. "Nirvana"-the students recreation centre offers all kind of indoor games.

• NHCE girls basketball team won the Championship in “State Level Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament 2010” conducted by New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore.
• NHCE boys volleyball team won the Championship in “State Level Inter Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament 2010” conducted by New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore.
• NHCE girls volleyball team own the “Runners up” trophy in “State Level Inter Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament 2010” conducted by New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore.
• NHCE boys basketball team own the “Runners up” trophy in “State Level Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament 2010” conducted by New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore.

• NHCE boys’ football team own the “Runners up” trophy in the “Inter Collegiate Football Tournament 2009” conducted by Rotary Bangalore and KSFA held from 8th to 20th November 2009.

• NHCE Vollyball Boys team won the VTU Championship Trophy for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008.
• NHCE Basket ball Girls team won the VTU Championship Trophy for the year 2007 and 2008.
• NHCE student Mr. Nagaraj S of Computer Engineering Branch is the 'GOLD MEDAL' winner in 'VTU Body Building Competition' in 2008.
• NHCE Student Ms. Divya of Electrical & Electronics Engineering Branch won the Bronze Medal in the 'Diving Event' in the 'All India Level Inter University Swimming Championship' held in Mumbai in 2008.
• NHCE basket ball girls team won the winners trophy in the prestigious 'M S Ramaiah Inter Collegiate basketball tournament' in the year 2008.
