LEARNING BY DOING - To tap the talent of the students a practical approach is adopted.

ACTIVITY CENTER - a platform for enriching the student's knowledge.

A lot of encouragement is given to those students interested in music and dance. Children can learn to play instrumental music and can join the school orchestra. Facilities for learning classical dance and music under trained professionals are available. Students are given the option to choose any one activity (art, dance & music) as part of the curriculum. They are also encouraged to participate in inter-school literary and cultural competitions. The students of NHPS participate in a variety of events from Bhagvad Gita chanting competitions to Karate Championship events and win prizes.

The Junior Division of NHPS celebrates innovative functions such as 'Grand Parents' Day, the first of its kind celebrated in an educational Institution in Bangalore. This day is celebrated annually, where the nursery children invite their grandparents, entertain them with their cute little dances and skills, encourage them to take part in games like musical chairs and then treat them with snacks prepared by their little hands, helped by their teachers. This popular event is covered by the media like newspaper and television.

All festivals are celebrated with a difference at NHPS. Diwali - the festival of lights holds a very special meaning for the students as they share their joy with over 100 under privileged children. After the traditional puja new clothes are presented and the guests are treated to a scintillating fireworks display and delicious dinner.
