The
New Horizon Public School is known for its innovative
and path breaking endeavours in the field of true
education. This institution has always targeted true
empowerment of the child's mind by exploring and expanding
the horizons beyond curriculum. Motivation, innovation,
appreciation and excellence in action, thought, word
and deed are the exclusive hallmarks of our institution.
Our mission is to develop the holistic personality
of a child through nuturing a value based education
that inculcates moral, social, emotional and intellectual
values.
New Horizon Gurukul, a revolutionary
concept in modern education is the brainchild of
Shri. Mohan Manghnani, Chairman of the New Horizon
Educational Institutions. In tune with the motto
'In Pursuit of Excellence', this unique program
has been envisaged by him. Under this creative concept,
our precious tradition is fused with current trends
of modernity. The Gurukul is an extension of classroom
learning supplementing and complementing the regular
curriculum. It is a first-time revolutionary concept
in school education bound to create waves not only
at the national but also at international levels.

| The
Gurukul system of Education |
The
Gurukul system had been a traditional form of schooling
in India, a land of scholars and intellectuals from
ancient times. Under this system, the 'shishyas' would
stay with their Guru in an environment conducive to
learning and get trained in all aspects of education.
The Gurukul experience for a child in his formative
period was an invaluable asset; along with mastering
knowledge, the child was trained in life skills and
was moulded into a holistic personality.
The
training imparted at Gurukul was innovative and
creative. Under the watchful guidance of the Guru,
talents were triggered, confidence levels were raised,
and multiple intelligence was developed. Realizing
the potentials of this unique system of education,
we have set up an exclusive nature campus for our
students. Breaking the four walls of the classroom,
they are taken to Gurukul twice a year. Here they
learn to live in harmony with nature and empower
themselves through a dedicated syllabus specifically
drawn by educational experts.

| The
New Horizon Gurukul Banyan Tree |
The
fertile and ageless seeds of life-skills, knowledge,
wisdom sown by our ancient Gurukul system have been
sown once again for the first time in India by the
New Horizon Gurukul. The seedling has sprouted, the
plant is growing healthy and strong. Slowly but steadily,
this Banyan Tree is growing - tall and majestic, cool
and protective symbolizing the very essence of the
'Tree of Knowledge'.
Our
Gurukul Banyan Tree stands for its united strength,
the branches tough and healthy. Encircled by its
tough and healthy branches, our students grow their
own individual roots of intelligence, capability
and creativity at Gurukul. Human values, namely,
eco awareness, socio-emotional learning and emotional
competencies take deep roots in their character.
They learn to live in peace and harmony with one
another and with nature. They are trained to pursue
a life-style that constantly explores new horizons,
truly "In Pursuit of Excellence".
