The media - newspapers, radio, television, the Internet - are playing an increasingly important part in our lives. It is therefore important to understand the changing role of the media in the past as well as the present. By combining History & Psychology with Journalism you will gain an intellectual and wide-ranging academic foundation, develop a critical understanding of the past and contemporary issues and learn the skills and knowledge to help you pursue a successful career in journalism.

 
 
 
 

This program takes the student through an overview of journalism to the concept of freedom of the press, function and modes of communication in the first year to introduction to jurisprudence, torts, rights, duties and constitutional laws in the second year.

In the third year students learn journalistic skills such as reporting a speech, presenting radio news, interviewing and preparing a lay out on screen along with editing and designing. The students undergoing this program are exposed to real life situations while gaining valuable experience during their inter ship in various newspapers and publications.
