The Laboratories
The Biotechnology laboratories of New Horizon College of Engineering are a full-fledged facility with the future needs in mind. In this exciting field of the future, practical sessions are quite important; the students are trained in areas of cell division, tissue culturing, Genome mapping etc.

The laboratory is fully equipped to meet the needs of all practical subjects. An exclusive feature of New Horizon Biotech lab is the full-fledged Bio-Informatics Lab, and this being a crucial field of the future, the engineer trainee at New Horizon would certainly have an edge over others.

The Training Imparted
Apart from developing the requisite skill-sets and aptitudes for this new branch, short-term training courses would be conducted in association with research institutes like Indian Institute of Science, National School of Biological Sciences, NIMHANS, GKVK, etc in the subjects of isolation of DNA from Eukaryotes and Prokaryotes, Gene cloning, Genome mapping and the most advanced techniques like PCR & Microarray.
