NEW HORIZON COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING celebrated the First Founder’s Day on Saturday, November 17, 2007.
The function was presided by Shri. Mohan Manghnani Founder Chairman and Smt. Renuka Manghnani, Trustee, New Horizon Educational & Cultural Trust. The celebrations were started with invoking Lord Ganesha and followed by lighting the lamp by the Founder Chairman Shri. Mohan Manghnani.
The Founder’s day welcome speech was given by Dr. H. Chandrakanth, Principal. In his speech, he described our Founder as a person with the passion, fire and will power who worked for a noble cause of providing education to students.
Shri. Mohan Manghnani, Founder Chairman delivered an excellent speech and encouraged all the students by saying “ One should set goals in life – to realize those goals they should be in position to face all the problems/hurdles and should not step back at any point of time”.
A cultural programme was organized in honour of the Founder Chairman. The programme consisted of Dance, Music and Fashion Show competitions and were participated by students of all the Departments. The students performed excellently and left the audience in a mesmerized world. The winners of the competitions were awarded prizes by Shri Mohan Manghnani, Founder Chairman. A special cash prize of Rs.11,000/- was awarded for the College team which reached the finals held by “Wonderla Dance Competition.” |
