New Horizon Engineering College has high academic standards and seeks to maintain these standards by admitting high caliber students. In deciding which candidates should be offered a place, we look for evidence of academic knowledge, performance and ability in those aspects of Maths, Physics and Chemistry that are relevant to engineering. We compare candidates against these criteria using the information available to us, from the application form and the interview. Entry is competitive, and we do our best to make offers to the applicants who are the closest match to our selection criteria on the basis of all the information available to us. This includes mitigating circumstances relating to exam results, educational and any other factors affecting a candidate.

1. The Course shall be of four academic years duration and conducted in 8 semesters with each semester having a duration of 16 weeks.

2. Eligibility for admission
• Pass in 10+2 / PUC with 45% marks aggregate with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory Subjects or a Pass in 3Years Diploma in Technical Education recognized by Department of Technical Education

Qualifying examinations
• Karnataka State Pre-University Board examination/CBSE/ICSE Board examination
• Any other equivalent examination approved by the Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Registration for admission opens from January every year.

   
  M.C.A. - Master of Computer Applications
  Eligibility
Pass in 3 years Degree in any Discipline and should have studied Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Business Statistics / Computer programming / Computer Science / Computer Applications either at degree level or at 10+2 level. Securing 50% marks in Degree level 45% - for SC/ST Candidates from Karnataka.

  M.B.A. - Master of Business Administration
  Eligibility
Pass in 3 years Degree with 50% aggregate in any Discipline, should be recognised by VTU, 45% - for SC/ST Candidates from Karnataka.

Registration
Registrations for admission to MBA course open from January every year.

For admission to above courses the qualifying examination passed from the Board / University should recognised by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

  Rules And Regulation For Students
 
Students should be disciplined and well-behaved at all times.
Attendance for all Theory and Practical classes are compulsory. A student who does not have 85% of attendance during a particular semester/academic year WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to take the final examinations.
Attendance for class tests and Mid-term Examinations is compulsory.
Ragging in any form is totally prohibited. Severe action will be taken against students who violate this rule as per legal regulations.
Smoking, consuming alcoholic drinks and drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited. Students who violate this rule will be strictly dealt with and such students will be discharged with immediate effect.
Damage in any form to College property is strictly prohibited.
Wearing helmets is compulsory for students/staff riding two-wheelers.
Using mobile phones in the college premises is totally prohibited
Students shall abide by the Rules & Regulations of the Institution in force from time to time.
